The Embassy Suites Convention Center, North Charleston, South Carolina is the headquarters hotel for the Benchmarking Council . The Hotel is offering participants a discounted group rate of $169 single/double occupancy, plus tax. Please note: Individual Benchmarking groups meet on Friday, September 26 from 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., and on Saturday, September 27, from 8:00 a.m. – 12 noon.  The steering committee will meet on Friday morning, September 26, starting at 7:15 a.m.

Optional Training Event

PERC along with NPGA will be offering the Benchmarking Council meeting attendees the option to attend PERC's Marketer Technology and Sales Training (MTST) workshop: GO GREEN with Commercial Mowers. This MTST workshop will be limited to the first 30 people who register; there is no fee for this workshop. You can register for this workshop during the Benchmarking Council registration process. 

About the workshop: Now is an ideal time to show cost-conscious landscape contractors the money savings and green benefits of mowing the propane. Research shows that propane-fueled mowers cost about 30 percent less to operate than gasoline mowers. And because propane-fueled mowers generate up to 50 percent less greenhouse gas emissions, busy landscape contractors can continue to operate on ozone-alert days. 

This session will introduce you to a dozen popular propane mower brands, help you identify the opportunities for use in your community, and provide selling tools to get the contracts that can boost your summer fuel sales by 1,000 gallons power mower. You will learn how to work with landscape contractors, municipalities, and commercial mowing businesses to create a strategic plan that leverages the power of propane in this fast-growing market. Attendees also will learn about demonstration and incentive programs that are available to help offset the higher upfront costs often associated with propane-fueled equipment.
