Propane marketers sometimes face hazardous driving when helping customersHours-of-Service Exemptions
Winter 2016-2017

The official 2016-2017 heating season kicks off on October 1, 2016 and ends on March 31, 2017 with the EIA publication of detailed propane data in “This Week in Petroleum”. State and federal authorities issue HOS exemptions during times of emergencies to ease the application of FMCSA regulations governing transportation.  The exemptions allow marketers to deliver critical propane heating supplies to their customers during times of severe weather or other circumstances causing delays in travel time to a customer's tank location.

NPGA strives to provide the most current listings. However, we need your assistance to do so. If an HOS waiver is issued in your state and you do not see it posted on our website, please forward a copy of the relevant waiver or exemption document to the following at NPGA: Tara Falls at tfalls@npga.org or fax to 202-466-7205.
