NPGA Executive Officers

The NPGA 2016 Annual Meeting and Mid-Year Board of Directors Meeting were held on May 23, 2016. The following individuals were elected as the 2016-2017 officers.

Stuart Weidie, Chairman: Stuart serves as President and CEO of The Blossman Companies, a retail LPG marketer located in the southeastern and mid-Atlantic States.  Blossman Gas and Appliance, with 65 locations, is the largest independent marketer of LP Gas in the United States and offers a full line of appliances, gas products and installation services.  He is also CEO of Alliance AutoGas, a nationwide network of companies providing LPG vehicle equipment, conversions and propane AutoGas for government and private fleets.  
Jerry Brick, Chairman-Elect: Jerry is the owner of North Star Energy LLC in Aberdeen, SD.  Brick has served in a variety of leadership positions within NPGA, including: the Executive Committee, Governmental Affairs Committee, Member Services Committee, and issue specific task forces. He has also held every office in the South Dakota Propane Gas Association.  Jerry was an advisory member of the Mitchell Technical Institute in Mitchell, SD, for the Propane and Natural Gas Technologies course.
Chris Earhart, Vice-Chairman: Chris is the president of Dixie Gas and Oil Corporation in Verona, VA.  He is a member, past president, and former director of the Virginia Propane Gas Association.  He has served on the board of directors of the National Propane Gas Association (NPGA) since 1997.  In his role as NPGA treasurer, Earhart will be responsible for overseeing the organization’s budget and finances.  Currently, Earhart and his wife, Becky, reside near Verona, VA and have a small cow/calf farming operation.

J. Randall "Randy" Thompson: Treasurer: As President and Chief Executive Officer of ThompsonGas, LLC., and its various subsidiaries and affiliates, J. Randall Thompson is leading the company his grandfather and his father grew to deliver exceptional propane energy and comfort products in the United States market.  Mr. Thompson joined the company in 1987 as an installer while attending college.  After a tour with the United States Marine Corps, where he served as a logistics non- commissioned officer during Operation Desert Shield and Storm, Mr. Thompson completed his BS degree at Shepherd University and has been working towards an MBA at Frostburg.
